    Uh-huh... Yeah I read that.
    There's also this too:
Seems to me that a "rough larger rocky area", a "moderate rocky trail" and calling it "moderate rock crawling" would all be one & the same thing (and Utah is well-known for plenty of rock crawling). So I guess we're resorting to word games now?

    Finally there's this:
Which (together with what you quoted from the opening post) implies that OP has no problem with DD'ing a 4-6" lifted truck.

Mine's a daily driver too. (I guess I needed to say that?) 20-21 MPG HWY, and 16-17 in-town (sure, not great, but still right in there with what most here report getting).
My Tacoma is my 4th truck build having 4" or more over stock height. Seems I should know what is needed, what works, and what doesn't.

I will also invite OP (if he's still listening) to check out this thread for himself since it's not just me here using these lifts:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fabtech-procomp-6-lift-or-more-pictures.43093/
(very long thread going way back though, 3rd-gen stuff starts to appear around page 605 or so).

So let's sit back and let OP decide what he wants to do now that some real info is here and also in that above link.

lmao @ for street trucks... Well, we all do drive our trucks on the street the majority of the time, don't we? :)
(Oh, and Accutune is where I got my shocks too, so yeah)

Anyway, I'm done here for now, I will wait until OP comes back.

    Cheers!

I am VERY cautious about where I off-road my "daily driver". Sometimes I go a little too far like on Senator Hwy between Crown King and Prescott (AZ). But then I was too deep in (1/2 way through 40 miles) by the time the scary stuff hit and not enough time left of sunlight to get scared ... I plowed on and figured "damage control" would be a post-drive activity.

Yeah you are right we are all talking about different things based on what we think the OP meant not to mention we are all very opinionated about off road vs rock crawling mods vs what works for a daily driver.

Thanks for the link I’ll check that out. I’ve been doing tons of research the past couple days to see about the most I can get out of a 2-3” and possible leaning towards a mid travel kit as of right now and making it to where I can build it into a long travel down the road. But I am happy to see someone here not hating on the DB idea but it’s made me look into other options and I think that’s what I needed but I’m keeping my mind open.

Just to note, I am not concerned about gas mileage. No matter the build, I will daily it.

    Ok, good deal then.
In the event you have any more questions regarding a (maybe a specific brand) DB lift, I suggest bumping up the thread I linked and just ask it there (I & others do frequent that section as well). You're likely to get far less "noise" about it within that thread than here in the 3rd-gen section.

If you decide on 2-3" (no brackets), my suggestion then is stay at the lower end of that range (2") to minimize CV and steering rack wear (this seems to be much less in dispute). The greater the angles on the suspension, the greater the stresses on those components become. If you decide on long-travel, then 3 - 3½" lift is a good sweet spot. Long-travel considerably widens your truck's width though (requiring new (wider) fenders and other (also pretty invasive) modifications), which the width was also something I wanted to avoid on mine.

Good luck with whichever decision you decide on.:hattip:

And Welcome to TW!!! (yeah I saw you had one welcome already, but now you've gotten to experience it lol)
