I am currently running 33in pizza cutters in 255/85/16 on the stock off road wheels. I want to do a 'baby' lift and put in slightly better but affordable shocks. So I am looking at Bilsteins. I only want about 2" of lift so I considered getting the 5100s on stock springs and have them set at the top position to get close to 2". However as I've been reading about it, I have read several times where people said the ride quality is worse at the top setting for 5100s. So now I am also considering 5100s at the bottom position with a OME 887 spring to get 2" of front lift. I will eventually get some form of front bumper and winch so perhaps this is a better idea anyway.

For the rear, I am just going to do an AAL for now. So I can do 5100s in the rear as well, but I question if I can do the longer 5132s with an AAL to save myself some time down the road when I begin to add weight to the bed and would upgrade the leafs. Can 5132s be used with just a AAL? Thanks for the feedback.

I would check with @memario1214 on this. He does a great job.

The mentality you're using here is sound up front. Using something like an 887 spring on the bottom perch of the 5100 allows for getting the desired ride height while lowering your spring rate therefore improving the ride "comfort".

What I don't know is what the 5132 is. Are you referring to the 5125?

Sorry, yes I meant the 5125s for the rear.
