I just had a roof strut fail and I’m looking to replace both. Did you get new mounting connections too or just the strut? Mine failed from the rotating connector and the link for new struts that ATO sent me does not include new mounting hardware..

Did you get this sorted? Feel free to post the link ATO sent you here. Mine look to be due for a re-fresh with hardware, too.

Yup all new springs and hardware and everything looks to be stainless as opposed to the originals. Here’s the link for the exact gas springs
    https://www.gasspringsshop.com/product/gas-spring-14-28-stroke-400-long/?attribute_force=1000 Newton.
The hardware you need to get from Janine @atoverland, she’s super helpful. They were $28 each x4 but so worth it. I hated the rusty look and didn’t realize how much more difficult opening and closing had become!

Broke another oak dowel in one of my spars. Emergency fix was using the support strut connector tube as a quick splice.

This time I made 7 replacements by sanding a 3/4” oak dowel by spinning in a drill and taking after it with 80 grit paper.

Used some champhered roofing nails to remove the pesky pop rivets. All is right in the world again.

Finally joined the club. Snagged a lightly used Atlas this week; previous owner drove up from Louisiana and met me at Southern Overland Outfitters for the swap on Monday morning.

Now just need to figure out rear springs. Currently running an Eibach pro truck kit up front with Icon AALs and stock leaves in the rear, but it’s definitely not going to be enough once I load the truck for a trip.
