New to the forum. My Taco pukes at 2000rpm at idle or at load. Won't go past 2K. OBD is P0192.
Cleaned the MAF sensor, no help.
Any ideas? Is this a Rail pressure sensor problem?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!
    GT

Check wiring at fuel pressure sensor ( high pressure). Possibly mouse chewed on the harness

Also, there is a fuel pump recall. Your 2018 is covered for 10 years regardless of mileage.

Thanks Vlady, I checked the wiring and it looks ok. Used some contact cleaner on the pins, but did not help.

TA2016, I will need to check on the fuel pump recall. Just found the notification post card in my folder.
    Thanks for the heads up!

Here is more info on how the fuel rail pressure sensor works and some tips if you are going to troubleshoot it yourself. Good luck and please let us know your final solution.

    your code is electrical issue

    upload_2024-9-7_11-4-27.png

    check voltage on the sensor

    upload_2024-9-7_11-5-52.png

if dont get volatge, need to check the harness between pressure sensor connector and EcU connector

I am getting voltage, but < 4.5. Not sure if I am getting a valid reading or not. My test leads were too fat to fit into the pin holes so I had to improvise with some thin wire extensions.

    Found this somehow:https://www.ttguide.net/toyota_tacoma_2015_2018_service_manual-171.html
    Seems fairly thorough.

I think I am going to have to get it towed.

Thanks for your help on this. Will post the final outcome.

So, the service dept said the wiring was chewed. Haven't seen the documentation yet. Should be done later today.
Truck stays outside so i guess that is the deal.

Seems to be a rash of rodent damage as the weather gets cooler/colder. It does get costly, insurance or not.

The high pressure sensor is under intake and hard to see ( need to know where to look).
This is where mice congregate and take knock , pressure sensors wiring out

Take your air cleaner and tube off to see it better. I did not do that here.

This is not a high pressure fuel sensor.
It is under intake by the driver's side close to firewall. The sensor must have a blue wire
