There’s a method to my madness. I’m going to wire the switch for the compressor and add a relay for the fog lights. Nothing else will be added (at this time).

 

Won our game, so we're in the finals!

Game is at 4:45 so we'll be hanging out at our hotel until about 3:45

 

No swimming! It tires out the legs. At least for baseball kids it does. lol!

Fuck... I'm so bummed for my kid. He played out of his mind though. If it wasn't for him, it would have been much worse. He received a lot of compliments from our parents, and opposing coach and parents.

 

MONDAY MOTIVATION

Not liking this frost on my windshield.

 

Monday. Short week, and half day Wednesday. Off for turkey day and Friday, as well as next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for a family trip to Vermont and Great Wolf Lodge. Cant wait.

Been having an extremely tough time at work, and I have only been here 5 months. In my 12 year professional career I have never had such a poor relationship with my manager. Company overall seems decent but this guy is a piece of work.

My goal has always been to make it at least to the one year mark before exploring other opportunities, but its been rough.

Recently had a recruiter reach out on LinkedIn and I agreed to a phone interview. Proceeded to an interview with an executive there which also went well and was asked to interview with someone else there.

Then, out of the blue, my wife mentioned that her company was potentially looking at hiring someone for my line of business. President of her company knew I took on my role recently, but reached out to my wife's manager to ask her if there would be any interest on my end.

For context, I worked at the same company as my wife the past 12 years, until she took an opportunity at a great company. With her gone, I had to look for something different and ended up in my current role mid June. Despite working in different areas, my happiest time professionally was when we worked for the same company- being able to witness each-others successes first hand. There are other reasons I loved working for the same company but that was the main one.

Signing on today, I could already sense what a shit week it’s going to be. I received an email from my manager to have goals entered by end of day Wednesday. This is after asking him several times about goals the past 3 months, and was ultimately told to leave them blank and we would address in 2025. Also impacts one of my direct reports who was advised the same by him. Shit show.

Despite my frustration, and the stress my current role causes me, I feel there is light at the end of the tunnel. 7 months until I hit my one year personal goal, which gives me time to work on a professional designation I gave been grinding through, and it gives my wife’s company time to work through everything they need to for this potential opportunity. It was only an initial discussion so I don't want to get my hopes up, but am really hoping it comes to fruition.

With all this, time to (politely) kill the opportunity I had been interviewing for. And start grinding to Wednesday.

Drilled a couple holes bigger. Ordered a different switch. I found a horizontal compressor switch from CH4x4
