So I’m really scratching my head and panicking, my vehicle out of nowhere just stopped detecting speed on my speedometer and OBD2 app, I am trying to find a sensor but there is nothing anywhere, I have a speedometer cable and it leads all the way to the transmission from the instrument cluster and then there’s the speed sensor but it’s all one piece and I can only find plug ins, please help me, I need to pass smog this next month and register my car

Sounds like the speedometer cable broke or the gear that drives it stripped out.

Hey the gear I checked and it looks fine, removed from transmission, i don’t know what it could be, I couldn’t find any parts online at all, not even on rockauto.

You are going to have to find a speedo shop to see if it is the speedo itself or ? I looked and If the speedo is avalible it is $$$$$. Maybe a used one?

Have you checked the speedometer cable and verified it isn't broken?

Update on this: I bought a cable for another vehicle, the T100 since it was the only available cable I could find,
    Part number: 83710-34090
Ill receive it tomorrow and will update on if it works, so far from dimensions it fits and I do not believe that it is the VSS(the gear that goes into the transmission) because it is not stripped.
