If I was a college student in 2024 when money is worthless, gas is expensive, and car prices are insanely inflated, yes.

I think it might actually be two. A thin spacer above the top hat, and another larger spacer under the top hat, compressing the spring.

I did a quick search nationwide (don't know where ur located) and there are many 6ft 4x4 Frontiers out there. They're advertising them around 35k. Nissan is hurting and 2024 pro4x's in my area r going for 37k. With that said, I'd imagine one could b had for 33k pretty easily. If u r financing and qualify for the 0.9%, the payments would probably b cheaper than the used taco @ 5-7%...

2024 Nissan makes some sense. 4 years of "practical safety and warranted" and then she can buy a 6-in-lift second-hand. :D:eek:

I almost bought a frontier but they weren’t discounting them aggressively in 2022.

just a couple of things tbh
here is the thing if you were in this situation then you would be gettting a car... not a truck and this is coming from someone who has only ever owned a truck (i have had three cars but never not had a truck)... trucks do not have great mpg and if you are driving that much get a little car and save up for a truck later on...
if thats the case hooooooooooly shit lol

I can absolutely understand getting your kid a truck. My cousin's kid is driving a Duramax 6 pack on 35s. The parents would rather pay the diesel than worry about their daughter getting into a fender bender in an econo box. And not knowing where they're at, maybe they get a lot of bad weather/snow and want a capable 4wd. She may even be doing some farming or forestry degree where it could come in handy. Plenty of reasons a truck might be a plus.

Zactly!!!... 30k budget for a small economical car... the options r endless!!! A guy I work with just bought a 2024 loaded Acura Integra that had 6k miles for 28k... that's on the high end of the budget... but u get my point.

One more thing about the picture in post #10, does not look like an SR5 badge on the back door to me.

Keep looking, a lift not a good choice, effects steering, tires, suspension and handling,

You could get a new or practically new suv such as a rav4 or crv for that kind of money. Much more practical and economical for a college student.

Let me take the opposite view of practical and economical. You are only young once. Get what you want and can afford even while in college. When I was in college I bought a new Trans Am with my own money I earned.

My situation was it took me 5 years to earn a Bachelor’s degree because I was working almost full time. Living at my parent’s house and attending college in my hometown allowed me to afford a new Trans Am like the one in this link.

    https://www.robertbasilcadillac.com/inventory/used-1977-pontiac-firebird-trans-am-2w87z7n231815/

If I had known it would be worth 5 times what I paid for it I would have figured out a way to keep it over the years.

yup agreed it just makes more sense to get a car or a small suv like a subi to drive back and forth if she needs the room and needs awd capability.

personally not a fan of the new integra minus the type s thou haha

Geeze, you can buy a 2025 rav4 in the US for less than $29K and that don't include the $500 collage student rebate. Sounds like a no brainer to me.
