I need to replace a wheel bearing on my B03A and I found a B02A axle near me and was wondering if I can swap in the axle shaft instead of pressing on a new bearing (difficult/expensive). All other specs appear to be the same afaik, besides the gear ratio.
This is what I mean by axle shaft aka the part I wanna switcheroo:

Gear ratio shouldn't affect axle shaft. The main differences I can think of to watch for are:

    1) Diff type (7.5"/5-lug, 8.0"/factory e-locker, 8.4"/factory open diff)
    2) ABS compatibility (all 8.0" 1st gen axles have ABS support even if the truck wasn't equipped with ABS, 8.4" axles may be ABS or non-ABS)
    3) Parking brake compatibility (most axles have parking brake cable routed over leaf spring but some have parking brake under)
    4) Make sure it's for the correct side!
