Thinking on getting a light bar when i order a Sherpa Grand Teton. Is there any benifit on getting a full one piece 40" or four 10"? I see alot of trucks here with amber on the ends with clear in the middle... what's the thought behind this as opposed to all clear or all amber?

It is about preference... Some like round ones, some like 40" light bar, some like multi bars.

It is up to you, you get whatever YOU like..

If you don't off road, then you don't need those. Because you'd waste money if not using them at all.

You can not use any lights that are mounted above the hood or roof on public roads.

Amber works with fog, snow, etc.

White works for road, everything else.

Fog lights can be used on public road no matter if it is either amber or white.

The offroading i do is generally during the day. These will be in addition to my oem clear driving and Piaa offroad lights. I do a lot of trips in the middle of the night to get up to a fishing lake at 6,500' (usually the only one on the 2 lane switch back mountain road at zero dark thirty) and at times it's fogged in on the bottom half. Also, have counted up to 16 deer on the way up... need the extra lighting lol. Thinking since i have the Piaa's and driving lights at bumper level a amber bar on top would be a good addition.

The only advantage to having four 10” lights versus one 40” that I can think of is the ability to pick and choose which of the lights you want on at any given time. Though I feel like if you’re turning on roof lights for any reason, you’re probably looking for the most amount of light thrown anyways and makes this option kind of useless.

I have amber/clear lenses like you mentioned. The center clear lenses are spots and the ends are wide angle ambers. I did this in hopes to reduce the amount eye fatigue I would get from the wide angle lenses reflecting light back at me from my surroundings (foliage in tight trails and such). I feel like it helps but to be honest I haven’t tried any other setup.

Sounds like you know how you plan to use them which is the first step really. Like Taz said, most of the details come down to personal preference.
