Hey folks, just installed CaliRaised skids on my 2019 TRD OR 4x4 MT, I noticed vibration when driving around and making sure everything is tight. It looks like for whatever reason my T-Case stock skid is sitting on the support bracket on the CaliRaised kit.

Can I just remove the T-Case stock skid and let it be or is that not recommended? Photo attached.

    TIA

put a thick washer in between the crossmember and frame.

the crossmember is bolted from the inside of the frame instead of the bottom so that in theory wouldn’t create additional clearance that is needed?

there is no T-case in the 2WD so don’t think they would even have one available for 2WD. Current theory is they sent a non-manual compatible part and the manual transmission pushes the T-case back about and inch and that is causing the interference.

that’s what I’m thinking unless I just remove the stock t-case skid but can’t find anything on if I should or shouldn’t do that honestly. To my knowledge it’s just a cheap piece of aluminum that provides some protection‍

I wondered if they would even make a skid for 2wd. But also I wonder why any taco aside from the bug spray guys would even be 2wd. They aren’t really the towing truck.

Personally, I wouldn't remove the stock crossmember.
It's adding stability to your ride., IMO

I'd say get rid of that stock sheet metal it now serves no purpose with a real skid plate there.

The stock "diaper" does nothing now that you have a real skid plate there. Remove it now while your truck is still new-ish and the bolts aren't rusted.

that’s the reassurance I needed that it doesn’t have any other function, thank you. Just yanked it off, had to remove the crossmember bolts but luckily didn’t need to loosen everything to shift it enough to remove it.
