Oil on plug

    6112/5160 Deaver stage 1 Are topper Steelies,255/80/17
    Changed plugs on my 2012 with 56000mi
    All look good but the passenger front was pretty oily.
    Three were ngk on driver and denso on passenger.
    Anti seize and Torqued to 13ft lbs .
    Any thing i should worry about ?

    Did you change the worn valve cover gaskets on this 12 year old vehicle?

    If you've got the 1GR (the V6), they are notorious for valve cover and timing cover seeps/leaks, particularly on the passenger's side where the valve cover meets the timing cover. I had a very slow one for a long time in the usual spot, but the second I saw oil on the plugs, I knew it was time to suck it up and do the covers.

    I would highly recommend using Toyota gaskets, FIPG on the trouble corner, and don't forget the plug seal gaskets as well. Fel-Pro lately has been shipping made in Japan/genuine parts in their kits, but depending on where you are in the logistics chain, that might not be a good gamble.

    No I didn’t but sounds like I need to get it on my schedule.
    Vehicle looks new with no oil issue.
    That’s why i inquired.
