So I've read, researched and still no success. Can anyone tell me where the yellow temperature wire actually connects to? My overhead connector only has 3 wires in it, red, white with black and I believe light green that I take should connect to a dimming rear view mirror. The temp/compass I'm trying to install is from a 2011 and has 5 wires. I thought I read it connects to maybe somewhere behind the radio but looking through wiring diagrams I'm still striking out.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Rick

Give me about 30 mins. And I can look at the diagrams.

I also see @Dm93 on. He knows the later model trucks better than I do.
He has a 2014 and knows this stuff off the top of his head.

If he doesn’t respond. I’ll look for you.

The ovehead console display was never an option on a 15, somewhere in 09-13 compass/temp moved to the rearview mirror. The option was removed in 14, the connector is still there but it only has the power and ground wires for an autodimming mirror option.

Your only option to add factory style compass/temp on 14 and 15 would be a Gentex mirror with a standalone temp sensor.

Thanks TnShooter and Dm93, I appreciate the confirmation. Figured the '15 was along the lines of the 12-14 and I thought I read where a thread where someone with a 14 successfully installed a '09-'11 overhead compass/temp. Definitely have read the '05-'08 compass/temp being installed with a newer model but they seemed to have had to run 2 additional wires and the sensor on the front pillar ahead of the radiator.

Again, thanks for the replies and confirmation. Makes me wonder where said yellow wire actually went to on the '09-'11 models that used that compass/temp gauge?

    Looks like the A/C amplifier.

05-08 models the temp sensor was directly tied to the overhead console, 09+ it's tied to the A/C Amplifier and the Amplifier outputs a digital signal to the overhead console/mirror but the signal wire went away somewhere between 13 and 14.

I don't think so, I'm pretty certain 09 doesn't connect to the temp sensor directly but instead the temp sensor is connected to the A/C Amplifier and the A/C Amplifier outputs a digital temp signal to the overhead console.
