So I just acquired a first gen trd supercharger kit for my taco for free but it is missing the nose cone. I’ve been looking for a day or so and can’t find a first gen nose available, anyone know if I could use one from a second gen like the one sold by urd or is it different with the updated gen

That's the problem with the 1st gen (light grey color) TRD SC. Parts are just about impossible to get. I don't think the snouts are interchangeable between gens.

Are you sure? Or do you know anyone else who would know? But yea I’m aware and that’s why he gave it to me for free. Would a different Eaton m62 supercharger nose work if it’s the same generation just not the same trd supercharger? Look identical https://www.ebay.com/itm/326070089149

Pretty sure the GM snout is longer, rotors are the same I believe,
Finding a 1st gen snout will be hard unless you find a 1st gen that got destroyed from bad bearings that made the rotors destroy the supercharger case.

you case see these are different lengths, GM is probably 1’ longer you can see the ribs are cut back on the TRD and the GM feathers out.

Alright thanks a lot that helps a bunch that was I was thinking. I did see something about people modifying the gm ones to work, think if I have access to an extensive machine shop I could get them to either cut back the snout or the pulley to make it work? Or am I better if looking for a wrecked one as you said. Thanks a lot John your the man

It would be too much work to modify it if that's even possible at a reasonable cost, IMO, didn't know it was possible to modify.
If that snout seal and bearing don't fit perfectly they will fail and snout seal failing are a common issue with 1st gens from experience
    Post a want listing maybe

Yea will do. I mean the machine shop would probably do it for free I kinda have that kind to access of yea I agree not ideal at all. If there’s any other yota gurus you know that might know where I can find a cone I would love to know. Going to call urd, mag, jbo, and maybe some dealers tmrw to see if anyone would have a clue even tho I know it will prolly come up with nothing. Again thanks for the help
