    I’m finding reasons for both
-blue light for RxR means workers present
-yellow incandescent bulbs ‘could/would’ make blue lens glow green

    ???????

I have a 3M traffic signal in my garage, the green light lens is clear. Traffic signals usually have clear lenses (with a green bulb or LED) so that sunlight shining directly into it won't deceive drivers into thinking it's a green signal.

It's probably for a traffic signal. I've seen green/blue-ish lenses on obsolete traffic signals.
