Hey everybody! I own a 2001 Regular Cab Prerunner Tacoma (2wd), and I was interested in giving her a suspension upgrade and wanted advice on which suspension lift kits would perform the best and have better ride quality. With the stock suspension that I currently have on, I hear a lot of rattling inside the cab when I'm going over bumpy roads. With that in mind, I do have somewhat of a high budget for a suspension upgrade. Any thoughts and advice would be helpful. :D

Agreed, ^^^, and in addition read and understand the downside to going too big. There are lots of regrets when tires start to wear because there isnt anymore camber adjustment avalible. I have Fox non-rebuildable struts on my 2 tacomas with 100lb / inch stiffer springs due to the plate metal bumper and winches I have installed. I had to add an "add a leaf" to level the trucks. The females dont like the ride anymore, it makes their tits hurt when you go over bumps, but hey, it isnt their truck.

I have a Toytec suspension kit on my 2000 4WD and I have been very pleased with it. Really transformed the truck. Not the cheapest option but they provide a nice setup.

I have read the downsides of going too big and I'm honestly looking for no more than a 3 inch lift, anything past that to me just doesn't look good or would negatively just perform worse. But all in all, appreciate the advice. Will definitely look into adding a leaf and maybe some Fox's. :D

How much did you spend on your toytec suspension kit?

    Stock? Here.

No matter what you do to your undercarriage it's not going to help rattles inside the cab. :D
