I currently have a 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport with Method MR701 rims. They are 17X8.5 00mm offset. Is there anything I could do to make the rims poke out more or is this normal for them to stick in due to the offset. Thanks for the replies.

Wheel spacers like ones from Spidertracks are common. I run 3/4" BORAs on my methods up front and 1.25" on my rear due to my Archive Garage shock mounts.

Beware that spacers will sometimes make rubbing worse. I used to have 1.25" on front but went to 3/4" to help with rubbing in the wheel well. But I run 35" tires

Are you asking if there is a way to extend the tire further out from the fender, if there is a way to extend the rim forget out from the tire, or something else? It’s confusing, because your pics don’t show the fender.

0 offset is about flush with the fender. If you want them to stick out more you'll need a wheel spacer from bora or spidertrax to increase negative offset. If you want them sucked in more you'll need a different wheel with a positive offset. I don't know what the oem sport wheel offset is, but the 16" trd off road wheels are +25.

    Get the “rim” spacer.

So, wrong rims? You were looking for a negative offset maybe?

The best solution is to get wheels with the correct offset.

Spacers are not a great idea. - They are illegal in many countries, in fact.
