Stolen 2022 Tacoma TRD Off-road in Montreal, CA

My buddy just had his New Jersey plated Tacoma stolen from a parking lot in Montreal. If anyone has any information please reach out. They broke the passenger side glass and must have scanned the key fob while we were getting in. Any help is appreciated. We started a police report and a claim with insurance already. All of our hiking gear was in the back and also stolen, with the truck... Thanks for reading

I think that was for treason, but I like your thinking. Flayed and rolled in salt comes to mind as well....or maybe my Walachian friend Vlad's favorite: Impalement. Any of them would get the point across, I believe,

 

All of the above sound agreeable for the offense in my opinion and might help dissuade them from further wrongdoing, and set a better example for the others of their type. Cause sadly where their is one there is always more.

Hope the damage was minimal aside from the window and still had your stuff in it. Usually it would be in a sea can by now. The enforcement community has been getting better at preventing and finding stolen vehicles along the Southern Ontario - Montreal corridor. Plenty of bad press and flak from insurance has forced them to put the heat on. A few years back my friend had his Tacoma stolen in Montreal. Gone within an hour of his arrival. Never got it back.

Thanks, guys. All they took was a couple cheap pairs of sunglasses, the "eyesight" monitor on the windshield ($$$) and broke the passenger window. Got really lucky. It was 4 stories below a hospital. I think they put it there to let it "cool off", but luckily the dealership had a tracker installed because payments were being made. Thanks again!
