2019 SR, I4, Auto. I am sure this has been covered but am not able to find the info on it. When the weather is cold I get a power steering "winning " sound during steering at almost full turns. It does this until the truck has been driven a bit and warms up. Does not seem to do it in warmer weather or a cold day with truck being driven and warm. I have seen info on similar sounds but in other generation of Tacomas. Does anyone know what is going on or how to fix it ? Thank you in advance for any help.

Not that it couldn't use some fresh oil, but unless the OP's PS fluid is low, changing it out isn't going isn't going to make any discernable difference in sound in a 5 year old truck.
    How cold OP?

Agreed, sounds like low fluid or failing pump. Beware that Toyota suggest ATF in the PS system, not "power steering fluid" like in american vehicles.

I've seen ancient fluid perform fine. Lots of shops use old fluid as an up-sell, but it's not a critical maintenance item.

Cold and at almost full lock, pretty normal for most vehicles that have hydraulic PS.
