This seems like the best place to go over this. I'm having possibly a weird issue, or maybe not and I'm just over thinking it. I recently upgraded my keys on my 2006 to the flip key / fob all in one units. I reprogrammed the keys since they are chipped and they keys work great. However, since doing that, my Compustar remote starter no longer works. The remote starter was installed about 6-7 years ago. It just cranks and cranks when activated, similar to trying to start the truck without the chip in the key being programmed. I also noticed the security light is on when doing this. I found a few videos online on how to reassociate the fob with the truck. I've done that twice now, and it works for a short time. Then when i try to use the remote start a day or two later, its back to the same non-start condition. I'm assuming there is some simple step that I'm missing here?

Late to the party but did you have the new keys programmed for you by someone else? They may have erased all programmed keys and programmed the new ones over the old ones. I believe the Compustar system uses a key to communicate with the truck.
