At the way back job I had a manager we referred to "Mr. Bubble" because he would float in, give some random orders and float away.

I so wanted to put a coffee cup with that image on his desk but couldn't figure out how to get in & out of his office without detection.

 

To me the larger signs are a harder sell because not everyone has the space/ or likes that sign enough to let it take up that much space. The guy I got my stuff from had a few smaller flanged ones like that. He said the oldest signs never have the grommets in your mounting holes and the real money is in the hand painted prototype of every sign.

I'm glad I didn't fall in love with this one, lady had $750 on it but she would take $400 firm, I think the same one is on eBay for $60

 

I should've googled then, I didn't. I'm happy with what I got but it looks like they are making lots of this stuff in India....bummerama

 

They sold several original signs at the sale Saturday, one was like this.


There was a store nearby that had closed and they had some Red Ryder stuff as well. A couple original BB guns in the box sold for over $100.

Am I the only one who voted while saying the options out loud only to realize I think I change how I say it based on the context? If I’m just saying the word it’s Pee-Can but if it’s the pie I’m seeing Pee-Con? Feels weird just writing that out haha

I grew up in Mobile and thought it was Pe-khan. When I heard Pee-can, my head almost exploded.
