Hey all! New to TW but have been coming here for years. I have a 2010 and want a new sleek look and better, brighter performance then what I have now. Crash burn, you have a lot of good thoughts and you mentioned in another post (can’t find now) about a black housing oem led you set someone up with? Thanks!

Thanks! I read the post but what does this headlight mod mean exactly? Won’t I need a new housing and 85/80w hypers is still a halogen bulb? I do want the brightness of led or hid but worry about snow and ice caking up the lense

What about these alpha rex luux series? I’ve seen so many good/bad reviews on them. My problem with them is if a light goes out they’re integrated and would have to replace and reinstall the entire assembly? Any recommendations out there for a comparable led/hid that is replaceable? Morimoto does not make one for the 2010

Not sure about the aftermarket ones, some love them, some not so much after a period of time...

I learned my lesson in buying aftermarket housings. They cracked and clouded worse than my OEM ones within 3 years. Saving up for some new OEM ones now.

Whichever path you go, PLEASE either clear bra or ceramic coat the lenses. Save yourself the headache that I’m facing.

Okay thanks, how about some retro fits? They’re about the same price as Alpharex and seems like they can be replaced

I have some uber-cheap Ebay specials for the last two months. I sealed them with some RTV and have only seen a tiny bit of moisture in one corner. Huge improvement over my cloudy stock headlights. I've heard a lot about them not lasting long but for $60 I figure I can just replace them if they get too bad.
