I have a 2004 dblc 4x4 Sr5 and just got into off roading after taking my stock truck out this fall with some experienced friends. I have been researching non stop about all the lift options. I finally pulled the trigger on the Eibach Pro Lift Kit front shocks and coils that are on sale right now at Wheelers. They seemed to be the best ride option for daily driver/off roading. I also live in the mountains of CO on a dirt road, often with washboard. It was between that and Bilstein 5100 with OME coils but after reading about those sagging over time and all the different versions, my head was about to explode.

I don’t have any weight now but I bought a steel bumper template that I will start building soon and I want to add a winch. I emailed Wheelers to see if I should have them assembled on the 2nd notch because of the weight I will be adding and they said yes because the Eibach coils are not rated for the added weight. Once I got that answer I went in a spiral of whether I made the correct decision! From what I have come across in the forum, it seems they are and can handle weight but I also cannot find specs for the coils.

I only ordered them the other day so they may not have started assembling and potentially could change my order. Did I make the right decision or should I change it if I can?

    Much appreciated!

I reached out to tech support at Eibach and they said this:

“The Stage 1 Pro Lift springs have an approximate 10% increase in spring rate over the factory springs, so they work great on vehicles with added weight such as a bumper, winch, etc.. The Stage 1 front spring is 577 lbs/in”

Maybe I’m just overthinking it now and got some info from customer support at the shop that doesn’t fully know what they are saying? I swear the more you research things, the less you trust yourself and have decision paralysis!

You should be happy with it especially coming from a worn out OE setup. I have a hidden winch mount that adds extra weight on the front on my reg cab with a Toytec suspension that has a low spring rate and it's been fine. Bolt it up and go from there.
