I want to redo the suspension as the ride is extremely stiff and want to get a smoother ride any suggestions for brands for UCA and should I switch the LCA? Also what else should I do too my taco?

No offense meant, but if the suspension looks like the body, you might as well do LCAs, UCAs, lower ball joints(prone to failure), and upper ball joints while you’ve got it all apart. It’s cheaper just to replace the arms vs changing the bushings. You can change the bushings on the lowers but Toyota says the uppers aren’t replaceable(but the 4Runner arms are the same and have a part number for the bushing if you decide to go that route). I redid my whole front suspension about 4 years ago and did:

    UCAs - moog
    LCAs - moog
    Upper ball joints - Toyota
    Lower ball joints - Toyota
Outer tie rod ends - Toyota
Sway bar links - moog(probably didn’t need this)
Sway bar bushings - moog(probably didn’t need this)
Cam adjusters and bolts - all Toyota
    Springs - OME 881
Shocks - bilstein 5100 front and rear

Use antiseize when putting the cam bolts back together. Parts.mariettatoyota.com is who I use for toyota parts. They’re way cheaper than going in to the dealer. You can probably find one closer to you.

I ordered the coilovers assembled from wheelers off-road. The ride quality is pretty good, lifted up the front some, but over time has sagged back down to about factory level. I’ve read the OME shocks pair better with the OME 881s. If you’re not lifting the rear, then you need to buy the bilstein 4600s as the 5100s require at least a 1” lift in the back. Overall I’m satisfied with it even though it can be a little stiff at slow speeds.
