2020 Tacoma TRD Pro

Hi everyone,
I bought a Tonneau cover for my 2020 Tacoma including the hardware but when I tried to put it on the truck the screws for the striker plate doesn't go in and I don't want to force, I don't know if the bolts are the wrong size, any thoughts?

ps. I got the cover from 2023 Tacoma
