    HELP!!!

So I just installed a aftermarket radio in my 19 TRD Sport. Everything has been working fine. I went to get in it the next day and the Odometer is stuck on Kilometers. Has anyone else ran into this? If so what can I do to fix it? TIA!!

Didn't splice anything. It's all plug and play. I've had the truck since 2020. 1500 miles on it when I bought it

Yeah but the thing is when I try to switch to miles. It switchs back to kilometers. Which is why I said it's stuck. I don't know what to do.

Pull the radio out and see if the issue goes away. If it does, it's an issue with the radio or the adapter harness.

Does the radio's setting screen have a toggle for units and language?

Sometimes disconnecting negative terminal of engine battery for a few minutes then re-connect will correct electronic issues.
Should have disconnected it when swapping units but too late for that.

There is a setting to change it from mph to kph in the menu somewhere in your head unit. I have changed it a few times to see what the difference is.

Yeah. The thing is i now have a aftermarket head unit. I guess I could hook the stock one back up and see if I can fix it that way.

    what brand aftermarket?
Did you reach out to their help? It might very well be a setting controlling this.

FYI, aftermarket HU supposedly should talk to combination meter control unit over CAN both ways.
What I found is that HU only communicates one way (read). Changing lighting or other settings usually does not work and causes changes to some settings in Combination meter. Not critical, but annoying.
I would recommend to get a scanner with bi-directional functionality.
Aftermarket HU is still better than oem

This is an interesting issue. I have an Kenwood DMX1057XR headunit with an Maestro RR2 interface module and all the cluster controls are still the same. I did lose the navigation portion of the cluster and phone ID. But everything else is the same. Everything else that the factory headunit controlled is still adjusted through Techstream.

Definitely curious what the outcome is here.

This depends on the headunit. Mine has 2 way communication with the vehicle. I have instrumentation, vehicle info like door status, including TPMS if my truck had it, and diagnostic capability, including the ability to clear codes.

Your Maestro module does it. OP probably has Android HU and their CAN decoder does not work right or OP uses a wrong CAN in HU settings.
