    Howdy y'all,

I have a 2021 SR so it has no bells and whistles. The sound system is the basic one, and while it's better than I expected it to be, my last vehicle had a high end premium sound system and I miss it. I'm looking to do a decent sound system upgrade. I'm not trying to spend a bajillion dollars, I'm thinking around $1000 on the high end including professional installation (I don't know if that's realistic). Do any of y'all have any experience in this arena and have a recommendation for a decent (but reasonable) upgrade route? And if the $1000 price cap is unreasonable let me know.

Go on trailgrid pro website , they have plug and play radio bundles. One in particular would be the Sony one with the standard screen . It’s high powered and will sound nice . One step more after that grab some nice speakers for your doors and dash from like a kicker or alpine and your good to go

Start out by just changing the tweeters and front door speakers..... you might be surprised how that alone will greatly improve the sound quality. Don't even bother with the rear door speakers.

I installed DS-18 Pro-ST tweeters and Kicker 46CSC6934 6x9 front door speakers along with Metra 82-146 6x9 front door speaker mounting adapters and Metra 72-8104 front door speaker wire adapters. Very simple DIY install with great results for me.
