Love that DD. I’d like a yellow gold DD with a gold face. Would be the perfect compliment to my white gold & silver DJ.

Staying with the Rolex GMT Master theme, here is a second color variant of the model, this time with a black and blue bezel insert: the “Batman.” The connection with the DC Comics superhero, who sported his distinctive black and blue costume in all his endeavors, is clear.

it was an incentive for managers in the 90s-2000s to do $25k in sales in a month.

    full disclosure both are replicas

wow lots of posts here since I last read. Some great stuff.

Sounds the only people who know or appreciate the difference between Seiko and GS are autistic watch nerds?

Grand Seiko sales have grown something like 10x in the past five years. Something tells me that potential buyers "confusing" the two isn't a concern for them?

I have a couple regular Seikos with their simple movements and appreciate GS for the tech but haven't really found one that I really like aesthetically.

Have an older Datejust and just got a white dial Speedmaster but this G-shock lives on my wrist the majority of the time. It's solar and atomic so it's just too easy to wear it without having to wind and set it every morning. I got it to replace a Timex that I got tired of replacing batteries and straps as it kept getting tore up from police work. I pretty much wanted a watch that could get abused on duty but didn't look too dorky off duty. The Timex still works and I'll give it to my son as his first real watch soon.

The G-shock was a birthday gift about 8 years ago from the wife and I've worn it to work every day. Thousands and thousands of rounds at the range; scars on my left hand and watch received at the same time from a fight. It was on my wrist on countless SWAT operations and doing fun training like fast roping from helicopters or rappelling off towers. Many miles on the motorcycle and it's also been around the world a few times. I don't know if it's my favorite watch but I never would've thought a quartz watch would be in my top 3.

With that said, when I'm not at work I love winding up my mechanical watches and listening to the ticking and seeing the movements do their thing. My next one might be a Weiss or if I'm feeling bold a vintage Hamilton before Swatch acquired them.

Not wearing this guy at the moment since I'm at work. Wife and I were Christmas shopping at the mall and I really was just tire kicking and curious how a Speedmaster would sit on my thin wrist. Reviews all state that it wears smaller than the numbers suggest and I agree. I was only interested in the original black dial but the sales lady pointed out the white one. Wife agreed it had just the right amount of subtle pop with the red accent without being flashy. Matching my TRD Pro was a no brainer.

Handed the watch back and thanked the sales lady for her helping me figure out what to get when I wanted to splurge but the wife bought it that day!
