I knew it was going to be cold this morning as it was only 17° when I went to bed. I was shocked to see what the weather station recorded this morning.

It was only supposed to be a low of 15°... Just as the sun came back around, it recorded 8.5° BRRRR



As I was making my coffee this morning, Gracie stuck her nose out of the dog door and decided she could hold out for awhile longer as it was tooo cold to go outside.

 

Accurate for me. She makes the money, she handles the money.

 

We haven't been offered OT in months. Inspection is backed up so they've been barely giving us enough work to make it a week, if that. Idk what their game plan is, we just got 2 new machines so I guess they are cool with 14 people sitting around on their thumbs waiting for that drip feed of work.
As soon as they ramp up production again you're right back to the bottleneck slowing us down again. Management is a special breed I tell you.

 

Only 50% true here, I pay the bills with my checks, and my wife puts hers into savings.

It was 14′ F here this morning, but it's very pleasant out. We've had damper windy days that felt a lot colder.

Oh no, first vote….

 

We all have heard the statement "50% of people are below average" often as a joke.

In my job I spent a lot of time working with vendors, manufacturer reps, tech support, etc people. Sometimes you would get "the guy" who really knew his business, I always made sure to get a direct phone extension or e-mail for him.

Unfortunately many times you got a much more mediocre person - not to say they were dumb or bad people, just uninspired perhaps.

There are a lot of mediocre & uninspired folks out there in all positions, mostly going through life hitting the checkpoints at work and not much more.

It is unfortunate when such a person is a "leader" and their shortsightedness holds down or drags down motivated people/thinking.
