Hello everyone , I'm new to TW.
    I have a 2000 Tacoma 4X4 Xtra cab with the 2.7L

I'm trying to find a similar set up as the OME 2882 with Bilstein 5100. Their new Nitrocharger Plus aren't compatible with their old coil springs so they have come out with a new line.

From the specs it looks like the closest to 2882 are the 4004. The 4004 are the same height but with a higher 88lbs spring rate difference than the 2882. If these are the coil springs I need to achieve a similar lift as the 2882, which Nitrocharger Plus shocks should I get for them?
    •4004 same height as 2882
•4004 same spring rate as 2883

OME has a lift kit for the first gen but it says it's only 1.8" lift in the front and 2" in the rear. On that kit they have the 93004 Nitrocharger Plus with the 4006 coil springs. Height wise, the 4006 is 1.4" shorter than the 4004. And it's spring rate is 91lbs less than the 4004. Do I simply compress the 4004 coils to fit the 93004 or would that put too much strain on the shocks?

Also, for the rear, if I install the EL122RA & B with the add a leaf D43XL, which shocks do I need in the rear? The OME Nitrocharger Plus kit includes 63065 shocks for the rear with the Akar leaf springs, but if I add the extra leaf, are those shocks still okay or do I need longer ones?

This is my first time doing any kind of lift/suspension work. The only things I have done so far are replace the tie rods, lower ball joint, sway bar link, and I have the Icon Delta Joint UCA on the way.

On the bumper, I only have the Amp'd Up hidden winch mount with the Badlands Apex Winch for a total of 87lbs.

Let me know what I would need, I prefer to stay with all OME instead of mixing them with Bilstein.

You are overthinking this to death. I have put this kit on 2 tacos. Gives an average of 2 in lift. The 881 will be rough enough, and you will need about 150 #'s in the bed until the springs settle. I had a topper on mine for about 2 years until I traded it. All went on with everything else stock, except for me installing a drop for the driveshaft.
You will also need a heavy/Fat friend to stand on the front wheels to get those front struts on.

Thank you for the link. Every other online kit I had seen didn't have the 882 as an option. I thought it was because they're longer. They only had the 880, 881, & 883 which are all relatively the same length just with a different spring rate.

Based on that kit, it looks like regardless of what length coil springs you get, the struts stay the same.

I'll go with the 4004 coil springs & the Nitro+ 93004 struts. I just won't use the spacers they provide. ARB said that only the parts listed on their kit were compatible with the first gen. I get it though, for legal reasons they won't recommend something they haven't tested. But they did say the Nitro+ Shocks 63065 work with or without the extra leaf.

I'll post a photo once everything comes in.
