The thread here about the rear drum brakes locking up especially after washing the truck and parking for a few days has definitely helped me. Had the truck for almost 2 years and this has happened 3 times. Does anyone know of a dealer installed or aftermarket rear disc conversion ?? Or maybe a brand of brake shoes to use ??

After washing [with the parking brake off] go for a drive and make a couple of stops to heat the drum up. If you do that, they will never stick after washing it. Now after driving in the rain and parking it............yeah, it can still happen if the drums are cold, same with condensation.
