Got it. I had that piece do the same thing on the drivers side. Pulling the release strap for the seatback gradually causes the issue over time. (Works fabric out of the plastic piece and it escapes from the seat)

There is a small groove molded into/around the outside of it. (plastic piece) I was able put it back loosely in the hole and then eased the seat fabric back into the groove/plastic using a small-tipped thin trim tool to ease the seat fabric back into that groove. Be careful not to let the piece drop down into the seat back. If it is still in place on the other side, you can use it as reference to clarify how it is installed. It took a while to do it and a lot of patience, but I eventually got in back into place on the top of the seat back.

I go easier now with the release strap now and so far the fabric and plastic piece has stayed in place.

Good luck and welcome to TacomaWorld. :proposetoast:

It doesn't have one on the driver's side.
