It's worse than that, it's actually 10mm WIDER than stock on base model.

I started with 255/80r17 ST MAXX, jumped up to 285/75 ST MAXX with a CMC and a bit of trimming (still some trimming needed). Im due for new tires again and am kicking around trying out the new Mickey Thompson BajaBoss AT’s. They have a new size, 255/85r17, which is supposedly 34.6” actual diameter. Closest I’ve seen to a 35x10…

Was reading comments looking for info on 255 and read this. I have a base model so, yeah, 255 is actually wider LOL,

It’s the height to width radio, not just the width that makes it a pizza cutter.

Just bought a set of KM3 pizza cutters this week for the same reasons as OP and so I could reuse my Pro wheels. Haven't had a chance to wheel with them yet, but they are surprisingly quiet for an MT. My wife didnt think they were any noisier than my previous tires (Wildpeak AT3).

Here's a pic with the new shoes. FYI the rear is lifted but not the front (front is getting lifted this weekend).

Did you have any rubbing with the pizza cutters up front before you lifted the front? I just put on Bilstein 6112 set to 1.5" of lift up front and added a 1" Eibach block to the rear. I am considering getting pizza cutters for my new tires as my current shoes are about 32k miles. I want to make sure I don't need to do any cutting.

255/75/R17 BFG K02s with 4runner wheels. Also have the OEM TRD 2" lift and factory mud guards. The mud guards rub on the front driver side with minimal suspension articulation. Gonna need to figure out a solution. Not a big deal though really.

Didn't have them on long before lifting the truck; didn't rub on road but I don't recall if I rubbed when off roading. With the lift I never rub on road, but do rub slightly off road at full stuff. Pretty sure it's the rear side of the tire rubbing the fender liner next to the cab mount.

I have that same topper and I sleep in the back when ever I go camping its great! Are you on stock suspension ? If so, have you experienced any rubbing on paved or off-road?

2-3” icon lift, 255/85/16 km3’s, custom bed rack modeled after all pro design to keep bed topper. Cheena rtt. Bought not built for now.
255/85/16 km3 tread width is barely 7” and most 33’s are 12.5” wide.

Anyone running siped 255/85/16 in winter for traction on ice? I've been running 235/85/16 siped DuraTrac's for several years and I'm happy with them but thinking of going to a 33".

Hey man I just got a set of 255/85/16 geolanders and I’m experiencing slight rubbing as well and was wondering if you have found a good solution outside of the cmc? Thanks

Nice setup OP! I like your wheels too, are those steel? Curious about width and any offset. Only thing stopping me from going to steel is what I've heard about mileage vs. alloy. I'm all stock today 265/70r16
