2nd Gen New/Used 2010.

Hi all! Just got a 2010 Crew Max with 124K miles on it. Pretty nice truck considering it’s age. Been wanting one for a while. The main reason is the new cars all make too many decisions for you.

but this one still has a few things I am trying to figure out how to disable. The answer back horn still honks and echos through the neighborhood when I unlock the door. The threads don’t tell me the correct method to address this. But I love that it isn’t anywhere near as controlling as my 2019 Jeep that is on the way out of my life for good.

 

2nd gen Tacomas don’t honk the horn when locking or unlocking, they have a little beeper

There also isn’t a Tacoma crewmax, that’s a term Toyota uses for tundras

So you either have a tundra, or a Tacoma with aftermarket alarm
