    When I used to go, I would simply check their website as it would be updated to let you know what's open and what isn't.

    There was some construction going on that was supposed to end at the beginning of November. Getting in via Area 5 is pretty easy though--as long as the gate is open. Maybe call them? (831) 637-3874.
