@DesertRatliff Sorry to hear and see the package like that. The first thought that ran through my head was "insufficient packaging". Especially for a part that heavy with edges. Has there been any further progress on the resolution?
While I could be creative on how to ship something like that to minimize damage, it really should've been returned with the same care that you did. I'm sure it'll get resolved in time, but I'm honestly pretty impatient waiting on stuff like this. Best bet is to wait it out until you get the resolution you're happy with, especially for a truck with sentimental value.

Brandon at ECGS was concerned about the packaging/shipping condition but said to run it since it didn't look damaged aside from some surface scratches and paint scuffing. He said if there were any issues with it, they would take care of me and he said he put a note about the shipping issue on my invoice/account. Their warranty seems pretty awesome, by all the accounts I've read, and his customer service was exceptional but I did suggest they have a "premium packaging" option available. You know, packaging that ensures your diff doesn't fall out on to the street! Lol!

Rear diff is installed but was hoping to put in the "new" front 4.30 diff I got off a nearly brand new and wrecked 3rd gen. I wanted to do the clamshell bushing while it was out of the truck but that fell out of the ECGS packaging we're talking about so am waiting on that part and some free time to get it all done, hopefully this Sunday.

This is what I said when I saw the first photos. I'd run it.

I've done ECGS diffs. The packaging is stout, but not bombproof. I assume there is a certain level of this they expect. They have a warranty, and are a reputable company. I've not heard any bad reports.
