And here I was thinking you had a face for radio...

The only downside to relocating to rural UT is the job market kinda sucks for our professions, but we knew that going in...just didn't expect it to take so long. Fingers crossed the next four are better than the last four...

I was actually doing some research yesterday in your neck of the woods for a few companies to open. Seems for the type of stuff I do tho its a pretty tapped market.

And excuse you sir...I am fabulous. My momma says I am handsome.

I can tell you that if you want to have a booming business here, all you have to do is communicate and actually show up to do the work.

Thats everywhere. Its why I am successful here in show low. It is crazy how much money you can make by just answering the phone and showing up when you say you are going to.

And thats exactly what I was picturing when I said it.

    Yep!

In the process of doing market research for drone operations here, specifically mapping/surveying and inspections, so we'll see how that pans out. On the surface, lot of opportunity in that space...

That would be cool! Good excuse to get the expensive toys. Surveying is a big thing, here to. It is hard finding anyone that can or is willing to do it. Our buyers have to set their lines then pay us to come back out when they are wrong and we build on their neighbors land. It is always fun having those conversations and showing them the contract they signed. Thats a great idea you have.

Yeah, caveat to building your own house is landscaping and fencing...fortunately the property lines are super clear and well marked.

But, that didn't prevent the neighbors from having their retaining wall installed 6" on my side...less of an issue when you have land, but still :annoyed:

Yeah thats the good thing about where you are at it is pretty clear. Not so much here. And as for surveying there will never be a shortage of bad neighbors, fights and lawsuits. Just like in your case. You can survey that and have them move it if you wanted. Are there many fencing companies near you?

We have good relationships with all our neighbors...they apologized and offered to have it moved, but with having a stem wall poured, it's not that simple. I decided it really wasn't worth the battle (and the wife was happy I didn't, which is the bigger motivator, right?)...

There are a few fencing companies here, and apparently they're booked pretty solid. The speed at which things get done here takes a little getting used to...we've been waiting for almost two months for our perimeter fencing to get installed. Need that done so I can decide where the out building pad is gonna go!

Thats good you didnt want to bother moving it. For 6" I wouldnt either. 6' we will be moving that shit.

I will send my crew up to do your fencing. We travel. Might be more expensive as I will have to add per diam and hotels in but I will give you the homie hookup.

100%! Kicker is that I had a conversation with the contractor before they started digging about triple checking the property lines...apparently math is hard

Appreciate it! We already have the material, just waiting on the install...

Side note: The great Isaac Newton, co-father of "calculus" and documenter of the 3 laws of motion ... spent his retired year, the last years of his life, suing his neighbors every time their dogs crapped on his lawn or their children left their toys on his property.
