What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I mounted my 9 inch legs on my ARB bumper today. I think I'll wait until it's a little warmer to finish wireing them.

 

Raptor lights used to make me throw up in my mouth a bit, now I just point and laugh, after all laughter is the best medicine.

 

I didn't even like raptor lights when they were on my raptor. Got tired of seeing all the XLT's running around w/ ebay grilles.

 

KC Cyclone under-hood lighting. Would have been a nice mod to START with, considering all the wiring I've done in the engine compartment...

 

It's a good thing you own a truck, cause you'll never get anywhere fast with 9 inch legs.

Thanks, it came with the kit from KC. Not exactly sturdy, but should work fine long-term.

 

I hadn't read this thread in a couple of days, and I come back to find "The Tacoma of Theseus." Next up on Philosophers of TW: if you've parked your truck in the garage for a week with the door ajar, but you haven't gone back into the garage to check on it yet, is the battery simultaneously charged and dead?

 

I put some crazily expensive rubber covers on my Alu-Cab locks. They’re very well made in terms of fit and seal, but I’m still glad I got them during BF.

 

Took a few minutes to knock the trail dust off my trusty steed after a few unsuccessful hunts! Best Job I’ve ever had!

 

Installed some Audison Ap 2 Mv speakers into the dash location. I de-soldered the connections from the OEM Jbl dash speakers and soldered them onto the new speakers. The Audison’s come with their own adapters to drop into the stock location you just have to trim off the additional tabs. With no other upgrades to the factory jbl system this seems like a really good one. These were more expensive than most of the tweeter options that people use but after trying a pair of focal tweeters and a set of the kicker/subi tweeters I wanted something a little less bright.

About to get after it! Lots of chopping and welding double sheer uppers, body mount relocate, heavy alignment tabs, spindles, leaf hangers

 

I didn't know you could get red uca's from them. Paint or powder?

 

Lots of work ahead! Do those strut reservoirs plumb to the bottom of the shock body?

My Hcalory diesel heater arrived today.



This here is the plan. I will use a piece of black corrugated plastic or abs and put a 3" boat hatch port in it and slide the window open and insert the plastic piece for the heater hose to pipe warm air into the shell. Keeps me nice and warm in fall and winter time when camping.


I plan to get a wheel mount for the heater like in this pic. (I don't want to drill into my topper shell though).



Next up is to make a removable platform for a full or twin size mattress.

That’s going to be tight in a short bed, unless you’re really short or plan on sleeping diagonally.

 

I actually picked those up used. did a rebuild on them and a powder refresh in red. Just wanted to switch it up a little.
