    Awesome man.
I'm glad the post could help.
Put it together cause I knew others would use this same lift and have questions.

I wonder what the ride would be like and how the rear would look without the overload?
I'm curious to try it.. to lower the back just a smidge and lower the front just slightly keeping it level.
It rides so good..maybe I shouldn't even f'ck with it lol.

Yeeee! You can be the test pilot with overload out? Haha. Yeah I debated that but just for a second. Mid October im gonna load two dirt bikes in the back for a camp and ride trip. I'll see how it does with at least 700 lbs in the back before changing anything.

I keep over thinking it trying to get the setup perfect but shit. I should just shut up and enjoy it because it rides great...(yet to be tested off road)

Wifey says it's kinda stiff in the back seat with the youngster though....but it ain't her truck. :ballchain:o_O

    Oahu, Hi
I emailed fox asking about pre-load at 2.9" and they said max should be 1.925" and pretty much told me to be careful what I read on the forums lol. So not sure I will be going with fox now. Any how how you liking that tire and rims setups? I was planning on going same rims but the 17x9s. Whats your average mpg? Thanks

That sounds right to me from what Accutune told me. You don't want to go over 2" over stock on the 2016+, which is 3" total lift (since the 2016+ is already up 1").

I'm about to install mine tomorrow and I'm trying to figure out what the adjust the preload to. Accutune was supposed to send them tuned to give me 2" with 180lbs of extra mass on the front and adjusted for driver side lean, but both are just stock 1" of threads. Ah well.

If your replacing the stock suspension wouldnt that delete the 1" factory lift the 2016+ come with and leave you just with the 2" you get from the new fox coilovers? Im so confused by this. Or do you ALWAYS count that 1" factory lift with any aftermarket suspensions for our 3rd gen tacomas

Tying to figure that out so I know what lift to get for my truck

You have it correct, the 3rd gens in stock config are 1” higher than a 2nd gen. So if you take a coilover and set it for 3” lift on a second gen, and then move it to a 3rd gen, you have the same fender to hub measurements of 23”. This would be 3” for 2nd and 2” for 3rd FROM STOCK.

So for example an icon stage 1 or fox level 2 coilover at what setting should they be set at to get me at 23 inches fender to hub?

Those are the 2 options im deciding on

Would I be able to achieve this with regular fox coilovers or only with the extended version?

    That.. I dont know sir.
I'm certainly maxed out on mine. Not sure I'd recommend doing it or trying it on standard Fox kit.

https://www.tacomaworld.com/members/broheim.178360/ How things going? Still love the setup? This is the same as I want to do. No issues with the coils being cranked that far? “ more than fox suggests” looking for that 2.75-3” front and 2” rear on my ‘16 off road

A call to Fox let me know there is no issue cranking them up to the length I did.
At 24k miles, they still ride perfect.
The rear has dropped slightly. I've reduced the front by half an inch and the ride is just as good.
I'll be sending them off for a rebuild in about 10k.
Most likely going with the 14" coils when I do.

    But..no complaints.

Right on, what size coils are on now? Why the change? Any updated pic. Truck looks great. I’ll be getting this set up! What size rear shocks r yours? Part number for coil overs and rear shocks by chance.

Nvm found all my questions when I read a little closer! Thx anyway. Love the truck btw. Only difference will be the wheels. Looking at the mayhem prodigy just can’t decide on gold or matte gray.

Just wanted to hear about any updates to if you went with the 14” springs. Can you explain a little more about why you want to do this?
I’m about to get the same Coilovers and I would prefer to do it right the first time.
Also, how are those adjusters on the front and rear shocks treating you? Can you actually feel a difference from one extreme side of the adjustment to the other?

These suckers just got rebuilt. Leaks at 30k. Been on since day one.
13" were way too short. 14" 600 kings going in.

    All done.
Rides a little tighter which I like. Floats over all bumps at high speed and less dive braking. im at half the amount of threads i used to be at already.
Very happy. I’ll adjust height once again in a week or so when they settle. Happy as a hippo.

How much was that whole rebuild? Looking to do something exactly like that when I get mine rebuilt and go inch bigger springs. If you don’t mind me asking how much or how long it took for them to rebuild?
