Purchased a 1998 Tacoma, 2.4 liter 5 speed with 93000 miles. This looks like a good place to get help finding parts and making repairs.

Thanks for the welcome. I live in Peoria Arizona. I took the tacoma to a dealer here to have the fuel injectors cleaned and new spark plugs. $801.00 dollars later, I decided I better do all those things myself. I have replaced most of the vacuum hoses, inspected the brakes, replaced the resevoir for the windshield washer fluid. It is too hot here right now to do much outside. I'll start repairs in about a month.

I want to change the oxygen sensors on my 1998 Tacoma. Amazon sells them for $24.00. The dealer wants $187.00 each. It concerns me that the after market are that much cheaper.

Welcome :hattip:I alternate monthly with these:

    Lucas Fuel Injection Cleaner
    Seafoam
    Gumout
    Lucas Octane Boost
    Run 93 Octane - Shell

I’ve always purchased parts from Toyota. Some aftermarket parts will fail over a fraction of the time an OEM part will last. My mechanic only works on Toyotas. Sounds like you’re off to a good start.

Nice find. If it’s a 4x4 with a rear locker, you got a steal
