Evening crew, found out about the shut down. It doesn't involve my department we will work Monday and Tuesday off Wednesday and work Thursday and Friday.
We had enough volunteers that I don't have to look for a new job :bananadance:.
Y'all have a great evening and a great weekend.

    ok. what's an impact tool?

i was reading it before i got to the picture, and started imagining him carrying a power impact driver, then cascaded into wondering which brand he'd carry. he seems like a makita or metabo kind of guy...

In the law enforcement and self defense circles that meme is pretty popular. It’s making reference to carrying a less lethal impact weapon, a sap or baton, in addition to the gun and blade. The forward of the hips is where you should carry everything for access when in a clench or on the ground.

6 carbs on a v8 still don't make sense to me. seems like 2 pairs of cylinders would need to share a carb, which would make 2 of the 6 carbs run hotter jets than the other 4 carbs, which seems like a nightmare to jet properly...

though i've been researching vacuum gauge sync kits for my own cars eventual quad intake upgrade. they're not that expensive, buy 2, and it's easier to sync 8 carbs...

really nice build though. it's intended to look haphazard, but the attention to detail is spectacular. no flex pipe on the radiator-- actually spent the time on getting a proper solid radiator hose. running a model t radiator with that v8 has got to be under-sized. but it's got a real moto-meter radiator cap! that's almost worth more than the vehicle it's on!

looks like a 1940-ish pumpkin in the rear to me, though i think i see disc brakes on the front axle, so far newer, but also doesn't make sense if he's running manual brakes without a booster... the knife handle dip stick and billet spark plug wire holder tells me that motors hiding some secrets. that's a lot of power for horseless carrige!

I agree, it seems like it needs more carbs for the V8. It was a nice build, I didn’t pay enough attention to notice the brakes or other details

Did a bit more research with a bigger screen.

The cab is a 1926-27 Ford Model T or TT truck.

The fenders are older however, 1908-16.
Due to the axle being geared for heavy pulling with a 20 HP engine the TT had a top speed of 15 mph.

The carbs are Holley 94 (or repros) and flow about 150 cfm each.

    Difficult to tune, probably --
done for the same reason ladies wear uncomfortable shoes --
    they like the look.

Hyjackers, Lakewood traction bars, shackles on the springs, Thrush mufflers, Cyclone headers - they were the days.
