Original owner of a base model 01.
I'm teaching myself to "real" paint. Only rattle canned previously except for some airbrushing eons ago.
Found an 02 in the pull-apart lot. It had a good hood, fenders and pass door. That will be what I learn on. Did the hood late this summer and it turned out fantabulous.
Looking forward to learning more this summer.
Not looking to make a show truck. It just deserves decent metal.
Right now my biggest issue is the stock rims have rusted horrably. Ixve sand blasted them and sprayed with rust-fix and then silver rustolum. But 5 weeks later the rust is coming thru all that. A buddy told me to spray em with fluid film. Did that ant that liquidfied the rustolum. Now I got a silver rustolum/fluid film slime on the tire sidewalls. I was better off with the solid rusty rims 6 months ago. That's the reason I got on here. I saw a blurp about Escape rims.
So really, that's about it.
I don't do any other social media except a C10 board and a trad archery board.
No fakebook or anything else.
Too many id10ts.
And I've long since lost my patients for them.
