I have been wanting to do this mod for quite sometime, just didn't have the discretionary cash to do it until recently. Everything is pretty straight forward. Get the coilover plates from Mjbfab and then cut the buckets off and then weld them up. I did have to cut and grind down the bump stop bracket on the frame just a tad for the coilspring to not bind. I have only just finished getting earthing installer. I have an alignment tomorrow but will let everyone know how it performs going forward. Rides nice from what I can tell. I drove over some bumps and some uneven hard packed dirt in my neighborhood to help everything settle. No noise or claking / clanking I used to get eith the spacer and the spring.

This is one of the best 5 lug lifts I've seen. Nice work! I also have the same truck/color. My front springs are worn out (250k miles) so I am looking at options to upgrade since the OEM springs are hard to come by. I have never liked how the front of these trucks dips so far down and the body roll is really bad when cornering. I feel like this coilover conversion would solve both of my issues along with new bushings and whatnot. My goal is better handling and a more leveled look.

Which QA1 coilovers/spring did you go with? I want to keep everything else stock. Hoping it's as easy as modifying the lower control arm with the Mjbfab plate and plopping these "qa1 gs401-8mb600" in (I saw them referenced on another post but most of those dudes were lowering but it looks like I could get it leveled with them). Adjusting the height to level and getting another 250k out of the truck.

@lilred5lugger bump. Can you drop links to what parts you ordered to do this? I know about the Mjbfab plates and Qa1 coilovers but not which model #. And in the back it looks like the add a leaf kit?

I plan on doing this and adding an air locking rear dif to the truck. Perfect lil beach truck and will help me not get stuck in sandy shoulder road parking lol.

    Part number - Qa1 gs401 10400a

This guy I was talking to on instagram was able to run 33’s with his lift that he got from pairing the QA1’s with the fabtech spindle.(5-6inch lift)might have been more

Im planning on doing the same lift here in the next couple months. I’m going to keep that lift for a while and eventually move up to a custom LT kit.

So it might be a better plan if you want to hold out and see how my plans workout before you start.

I’m interested in seeing what route you go

I was looking at doing this to my 5lug but wanted to steal stabfab idea of cutting out the top hat and extend its height by 2in and use the qa1 m421cr mod shock Coilover. Run an eibach spring with swift helper spring. Then run his Uca and strut bar.
