I added running board lights to my truck so I can use as puddle light and turns signals, but sometimes the right turn signal doesn’t work at all and then it does. Left turn works most of the time, I checked the connection and they are solid. Could it be the amps draw from the runnning board lights is too much?

I can't help you, but so many of these posts where someone adds some after market electrical gizmo and then after installing it causes something else not work or the dash lights up like a christmas tree.
after seeing so many posts i will never monkey with my electrical, IMO

I’m not saying people shouldn’t, but they should weigh the risks and rewards.

If you have overloaded the turn circuit, it will blink once briefly, then not again until you turn it off. Not sure if this is what is happening to you or not.

I had to laugh at that……

It doesn’t help OP. But it holds true.
Even better would be to not use the turn signals and identify as 75% of the rest of the driver on the road.

Sometimes it does that, but other times it just doesn’t turn on at all, could it also be an indication that my battery is about to I’m still on my first battery about to hit 4 years in 14 days and 84K miles

At least get a NOCO GB40 battery boost, if you have not. New battery may be needed ... Autozone can "load test" yours if you decide you might try to stretch it out.

The way I got around it was by using the rear turns to trigger relays. Those relays drive my turns and all the other lights that flash with the turn signals. So the only load on my front signals is 50Ω (2 25Ω resistors in series). It’s overkill for sure, but I can add an absolutely ridiculous amount of turn signals

I’m not sure about the battery affecting it. Not saying it couldn’t, but I really don’t know.
