Old School Edison Bast Flash Bulbs!

Edit: These are Edison BASE, not Edison BAST. Oh, arrgh.

Just when you least expect it, somebody offers seven old school flash bulbs. That day is today. My late brother used these when he was doing copy stand work in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He never seemed to throw anything away, so these spent 50 years in his dry basement. They are the professional kind, and screw into an Edison base socket. You've seen these used in the old movies, like Miracle on 34th Street, when press photographers take front page photos.

The blue color bulbs are color corrected for indoor use. There are two types of the blue bulbs, and they use a blue that GE though best for given conditions. No, I haven't tested them. How do you even test flash bulbs? I believe that they are good, but I can't guarantee `em. You use them once and that's it. And modern camera flashes don't have the unique aroma of a recently used flash bulb.

You can also use them as an expensive gag, by screwing them into a regular light socket. Someone turns on the light and BAM, an intense flash of light, followed by darkness and residual yellow spots. I don't recommend doing that with these collectors items, though. $50 shipped for all of them. PayPal (plus 3%) or postal money order is OK.
