For those who have installed a BeatSonic amp in your JBL stereo, what setting did you put the inputs at? I put my front speakers at 2 and my rear speakers at 1. I’d like more volume in my rear speakers so I was thinking of increasing the setting to 3. Would this make the rear speakers distorted due to too much power?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Rear does nothing. The JBL with the beat sonic only uses the front gains. I left it at factory preset (12 o’clock).

are you talking about the actual 2 dials on the amp itself?
there's a beat sonic utube video showing where they should be set at & they're way higher than that,
go find it or reach out to them
    1 is like at 12 & other at 11, or there's about.....

$300 could have got you a very nice amp, quality amps are dirt cheap these days & tiny.....
Get a PAC ap4-ty-14 amplifier interface & go from there....
How great you want it to sound depends on how deep you want to dig into the wallet.
Alpine R components can had be had for cheap & will sound amazing compared to the garbage JBL's, & they get really loud...
    I stepped-up & went Focal 3way k2 M Power...
    2 amps...
    dsp...
    12" jl tw3...

I set my rear to 4 oclock and front to 2 oclock and I’m fine with what I got. Like the earlier reply says, the rears doesn’t do anything. I’m satisfied with the bass from my current setting. All I’m looking for is a boost in the bass. I’m planning on sound deadening the hell outta my doors

that's a lot of work. the JBL with the mini beat sonic amp will please 90% of people. i had a full JL audio system in my 3rd gen that i loved but in my 4th gen hybrid i have 0 room for a box or even an amp without some major modifications.

My biggest issue with the sound system is still just the rattles. ive taken the door panels off twice and added two layers of sound deadening and still find random pieces that rattle and drive me crazy.

have you gone thru Bob’s speaker replacement album? He put 3 layers of sound deadening in his doors, including the inside of entire plastic panel of the door. I can only find out if it would stop rattling by trying it out myself

yeah ive gone through that album countless times while planning. the biggest upgrade for me to get rid of rattle is the srew thats in the TRD trim piece on the door panel that slides out. that screw gets loose and rattles around. Ive tightened it multiple times and it still gets loose from the bass rattle...So i put some felt tape on the front and back of the screw hole and it stopped that major rattle.

the rattles are cuz they're trying to pump so much bass out of the stock garbage speakers to achieve rich full sound’ they're pretty much in full range....
    Cuz they're garbage...
That won't be the case with quality speakers with crossovers or a dsp / tuned.
Takkko Tunes is getting ready to release multiple enclosures to fit behind the seat after removing the plastics.
Won't be able to tell they've been removed with seat upright...
    single 10 or single 12, or 2 10's
Will be like a jl stealth box...

assuming on a hybrid, behind the seat is vacant like all the other trucks.

They make sound deadener that has closed cell foam layer its like a hybrid "sound skins pro" that if needed you will place it between the door panel & the door skin the panel mounts to.
My truck doors & back cab wall was deadened just like Bobs....
I actually sat in bobs truck & listened to the system, as he bought my powder coated black trd wheels.
    No rattles...
But yes, I expressed my rattle concern to my installer as I know what you guys are saying with these plastic panels.
The foam strips on the outer entire perimeter of the door panel is an absolute joke if you looked at them with the panels off...
My installer seems to think it won't be an issue & no need for the sound skin hybrid material im suggesting.
Last thing I want is a rattle trap, im going for sound quality...

My truck is with the installers as we speak....
Has won top 100 installers in the United States a handful of times...

So are you saying leaving the rear setting at 12 or 4 doesn't matter or change anything? No additional sound from the rears by setting it at 4???

I only have 1 rattle and its coming from the Pass Door, its driving me crazy too, but haven't had the energy to go out there and start messing with it. I'm hoping its just something loose from getting tint.

No additional sound setting the rear higher. I believe I read on the JBL, the beatsonic rear is for alerts, etc.
