currently got a 3rd gen and have had a leveling kit installed (3in front, 2in rear). Ive done a cab mount chop and wide body fenders in the front and 285/75/16 KO2s and everything clears.

I need a new suspension. my question is what a good and affordable kit would be. i carry a heavy load in the bed with a bed rack and tent and im basically riding on the bumps lol.

another question is is it contraindicated to get an upgraded suspension but keep the reat blocks and front spacer in?

Fear of getting something and then it not fitting my wheel.

so far im thinking upgraded shocks, coils, and leaf springs.

If you are carrying a heavy load in the bed, ditch the blocks and buy a full leaf pack. I've had my Deaver U402 stage 2 for several years and very happy with them. Go stage 2 or 3 depending how heavy your loadout is.

Regarding it being "affordable" you'd have to define that yourself based on your own budget. That word may not mean the same thing to me as it does for you. Also depends what you are using it for - if just driving on pavement you don't need too much, but if wheeling offroad hard then yeah maybe you can use something beefier. Can't give a good answer without those details. Will say that many guys in our group have been very happy with Dobinsons offerings, you can find something that fits budget at any level.

IMO, best bang for the buck is gonna be a Bilstein 6112/5160 setup + Icon RXT leaf pack.
