    Why aren’t these more popular?

I just got a set from Discount Tire. They were on sale “See Price in Cart” or I probably wouldn’t have even clicked on them.

I had Toyo AT3s and I see Wildpeaks and KO2s everywhere.

On sale these were $40-$50 cheaper per tire and so I’m very much liking them.

So far, they've been a great tire for me. I'm very happy with them.

I just got back from getting these installed. Had Toyo Open Country AT III before these. I’ll be putting them through the ringer chasing deer in AZ this weekend.

My biggest issue with these now that I've put 10K miles on them is how noisy they get on the road. I don't think I. Going to run them again, I'll go with the Fallen Wildpeak AT3s or something more road worthy that are also good in the snow.

Just had these put on yesterday, they feel pretty good, a bit bulky coming from the stock dunlop tires but damn do they look amazing.

    Mountain peak out.

I had Discount tire match big-o tires black friday deal, buy 3 get 1 free + $100 cooper rebate.
We will see if the rebate goes through.

Offroad these are very capable, out here in the soft soil, wet rocks, and snow/ice. I think the one things I don't like about them is the noise in town, not inside the cab, but friends have mentioned they sound like tractor tires when I drive by. We will have to see how they do towing a snowmobile trailer on the snow and ice this winter.

I kind of like the sound myself, maybe it was just my younger days owning jeep wranglers.

I put a set on 2012 JK Wrangler and they seemed pretty quiet for the first 30000 miles but seem a bit noisy now. And I rotate every 5000 miles.242132946_4336337596431981_5716935914301622501_n.jpg

47k on my set and theyve been fantastic! A lot of highway miles, but theyve also seen their fair share of action in the mountains in northern New Mexico and sand at Texas beaches, dominating whatever terrain theyre in. At this point they are pretty loud but that is more than acceptable considering everything theyve been through.

Even though these still have some life left, theyll be replaced soon due to an upcoming trip to the mountains for Christmas along with me wanting to upsize from 265/70/17. Wish they made these in 255/80 but looking forward to trying out the Wildpeak RT01s

How’s the noise level on these tires? Hopefully they’re quieter than my annoying Duratracs. I need new tires in spring/summer and I’ve been eye balling Falkens, although the Coopers seem like they are good. I’d definitely consider the ones in this thread. For what it’s worth I live in Idaho so I see city/highway of course, plus mountain roads and then anything from desert with lava rock to mud, snow, ice and all the typical dirt/service roads.

Put these on back in August and immediately took the truck off-road down in Arkansas at Hot Springs off-road park. Ran it on Snake Trail and was VERY happy with how they handled things at 20psi. TRD off-road with Fox Pro suspension.

I hope Pennsylvania has an off road park. Here in Connecticut if you go off road it better be on your land. :frusty:

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
I've not been in a truck with Duratracs on it to compare but I'd call them slightly noisier than the Falken Wildpeat AT's I had on my last truck but not intrusive. I change oil and rotate tires at 7500 miles and when I rotate I cross the fronts to the back to smooth out the edges and quiet them down some.

I’m not typically picky with tires (I’ve always driven older heavily modified vehicles so my tolerance level is adjusted accordingly) but these Duratracs are just annoying. They’re mildly aggressive but they do come on several vehicles from the factory, I figured they’d be decent choice but I’m just not a fan.

We don’t have any off roading in Idaho either. Also the weather sucks.

The change-up has been made…im on 255/80/17 Falken Wildpeak RT01s now. According to Discount Tire the Rugged Treks had 8/32nds tread left @ 47,217 miles. The tread on the RT01 is very similar which is one of the things that drew me to that tire. Hopefully their performance is similar to the Coopers as well

Tread comparison, Falken on left Cooper on right. Cooper has 12/32nds tread

285/70 17 SL. On-road they are pretty smooth and just a low hum. This is the size and load I've ran for a while in other AT/Hybrid tires and im assuming due to the more aggressive tread pattern I did take a small hit in gas mileage. Only been installed for two weeks so I havent had them in the snow or offroad yet.
