Dude on FB marketplace was wanting to unload a few black series helmets, so I added a few to my collection.

 

Skeleton Crew aired first two episodes tonight and it's absolutely fantastic.

 

Can’t remember if I posted this? Homebrew Sabine and her Lothcat Murley Halloween costumes for the 10 and 13yo. Murley turned out more Furry than Lothcat…maybe paper mache for the face next time?

 

First episode in and it gives me The Goonies vibe for some reason.

 

It does a little bit, sure. They were very smart with this show, its so much better than the Acolyte

It has potential. Not sure I’d go so far as fantastic but it’s not bad yet.

 

The wife and love SW, but both got a bit of the "mehs" from the Acolyte, and one of her all time top movies is Goonies, so that'll be a good kick starter to get her into the show.

 

Yes, the movie has wrapped up shooting. I have been off for a little bit back on my fabrication stuff. Honestly have no idea what’s next. If anything. From what I understand, they want to film everything elsewhere. Usually we know in advance if something is in the works but we’re in the dark right now haha!

 

I’m sure you’ll notice some of these sets from the first episode of Skeleton Crew


Here’s the little ravine where they find the door. We rigged this large diffusion overhead on a 100 ton crane to diffuse the set since we were dealing with full sun conditions. My job in this is constructing all the truss, adding the diffusion to it, rigging it correctly to the crane, and then communicating with the crane operator during the filming where it needs go since the sun is always moving throughout the day. We also have very heavy duty ropes tied in each corner that get tied off to concrete blocks for when there is wind and I have to communicate with my guys when we’re moving it






The school set in the early stages of being built. Me and my guys plotted out where all the sea containers needed to go and worked with a heavy forklift operator to get everything set in place. Then for 2 weeks I welded pipe along the tops of the containers (2,000 total feet) to tie our blue screens to in front of the containers. This is the smaller of the 2 sets where the school is. About 700 linear feet of containers in a U shape




Here is the larger area (1300’ linear feet of containers) in a U shape. This is the street that the kids live on. The first driveway is where the main kids house ends up getting built

Awesome! Share all you can. I figured everything was pretty much in post production now, there "shouldn't" be anything else filming, but ya never know. Ahsoka season 2 should be starting up soon, I think that'll be here/down there

 

We did Ahsoka season 1 and I haven’t heard anything about filming season 2

We’ll see lol

 

In an interview the other day he said he was still writing it, but Dave never tells the truth, that's why I asked

Yeah I didn’t really wanna say anything officially yet haha but I pretty much knew all this. At the beginning of filming the movie, there was another crew packing sea containers full of stuff from the other shows to send to the the UK
