Been a while since I have posted. OP had a lot of failed images. Updated images, posted new vehicles and information. Recently picked up a 1986 4runner. Planning to start posting more info on this project

Bought the truck and filled up the tank @ 272,559 miles. Currently it has 272,832. Just filled up again. It took 11.832 gallons of fuel which factors out to roughly 23.07 MPG. Now obviously this number is slightly off. Speedometer is about 5 MPH slow at 60.

have had a few issues with the turbo actuator. Ordered a replacement, checked all wiring, verified all connections. Seems to be intermittent, but occasionally the turbo actuator will just stop actuating which causes all power to be lost, tons of black smoke, and high EGT.

purchase the new one, have it installed. Did need to modify the plug slightly for a tight connection. Will continue to test and monitor the replacement

Inspected the CCV (Crank case vent) found that the rubber grommet that connects to the valve cover was broken. Working to get new item purchased.

purchased a crank case vent catch can from Aircraft Spruce. Can has a 1/8” drain, also has 3/4” hose barb connection up top. Item it’s decent quality, not as good as I thought it would be but it will work. Got it mounted today, need to finishing running the hose once I get the replacement CCV.

Finally took a minute to lock front hubs and put the Tcase in 4LO. Not much flex action but did manage to take a couple pictures

Making progress on the limp mode issues with the TDI. Think it may be associated to the MAP sensor. Idle, the MAP is around 14psi, normally driving around 21psi. Multiple times the MAP pressure has jumped and stuck at 36 PSI and instantly goes to limp mode.

purchased Ross-Tech VCDS software. Planning to run scans and see what data we can come up with for repair.

sub'd for lots of questions. Picking up a new to me toy this weekend. 86 22re Turbo 4runner, SAS'd, r151f 5 speed swapped, etc. Looking for info on a couple things specifically but also just to see and gather more knowledge of the platform.. especially active ones her on TW. I have been wanting an older 4wd/Solid axle Yota for years..

I need to take some more. Almost made it home without issue. Turbo flange studs broke so I'm waiting for the last of the parts to show up to replace everything.
