Hello, was wondering if anyone knows what this little plastic tab clip thing attached to my frame next to the body mount is. One side was very loose and clicked around at every bump, the other side is tight. thought it was my suspension but I am pretty sure it was this piece of plastic. Broke it off and so far no more clicking noise! Anyway thanks in advance.

If there is a hole under it, it is intended to prevent water intrusion into the frame while allowing water to leave the frame.

If you could hear it clicking, you must have reality good ears.

Gotcha, thank you. And yes every time I would have the window down I can hear clicking/ticking thought it was my sway bar links hitting my coil spring or something but I think this was the culprit

Meso spare fuse holder. Aluminum gas cap holder. Genuine Toyota bed lights. Bed molle racks. Ammo case storage under hood. In-bed spare tire. Automatic underhood lights. Gooey glurp on frame.
My Tacoma also has those. They were held in loosely. But the anti-rust glurp I applied has caused them to stop being clicky.

Its just a plug, they are broken on 50% of the tacomas I see. Don't fret it.

It’s called a hole plug to keep water out of the frame if you want to replace it here is the part number.

That piece of plastic is single handedly holding your entire truck together, without it your truck will fall into a million pieces.

Forget about it, but if you can't stop worrying:

drown the area in Corrosion-X to make you feel about protecting your frame

I think these also happen to mark the spot Toyota says to jack from don't they? Might explain why they are always broken.
